Unique Collection of Manuscripts

The library has a unique collection of about 1404 Manuscripts in the form of Palm Leafs and Pothis on subjects like :

  • Purana (Mythology)
  • Tattvajnana (Philosophy)
  • Jyotisha (Astrology)
  • Veda
  • Smriti
  • Yoga
  • Kavyashastra (Poetics)

In 1951 Bhavan started the Singhi Oriental Series for the purpose of reading and publication of those manuscripts. So far, 77 titles have been published under that series.

The Library also has a very good collection of ancient coins.

Paintings

The Library also has a collection of 116 water-colour miniature paintings of Rajputana and Mughal style.

Antiques and Artefacts

The Library also has a collection of ancient bronze, copper plates engravings and other artefacts.
