Bhavan’s Library, which is named after its founder Kulapati K M Munshi, has a special section that houses the huge legacy of his works.

K M Munshi was a prolific writer in Gujarati and English, earning a reputation as one of Gujarat's greatest literary figures. He was an active participant in the Indian independence movement and also served in the Constituent Assembly because of his knowledge, experience and legal acumen and played a substantial role in the framing of India’s Constitution.

The collection includes Munshiji’s well-known historical novels in Gujarati and their English translations. Also available are his biography, letters, memoirs and reminiscences of his political and legal life. There are books by him on the history and culture of Gujarat. There are also books by other authors that depict his role in framing of the Constitution of India, his work, versatility and achievements.

The collection aims to preserve and provide an opportunity to the members to read about the life and works of Bhavan’s visionary founder and keep his messages alive.
